What you need to know about roads and motorways in Isle of Wight

The Isle of Wight has no motorways or toll roads — its network consists of A-roads and B-roads with a 60 mph national speed limit on single carriageways, though many stretches are best taken at 30–40 mph due to bends and narrow sections. Motorhomes over 3.5 tonnes should watch for weight-restricted bridges, particularly on rural lanes in the south and west. The main A3054 and A3055 (Military Road) connect the key towns and offer well-maintained surfaces with regular passing places.
