What you need to know about roads and motorways in Gatwick

The M23 runs directly from Gatwick north to the M25, giving motorhome and campervan drivers fast access to routes heading east, west or into London. England's motorways are toll-free, with the exception of the M6 Toll in the Midlands, so you can travel the southern network without charge. Speed limits for motorhomes over 3.05 tonnes are 60 mph on motorways and 50 mph on single carriageways. The A23 and A27 are the main arterial roads connecting the coast, and both accommodate larger vehicles comfortably. Rest areas with fuel and facilities appear regularly along the M25 and M23.
