Iceland offers a wide network of campsites spread from the capital region to remote fjords and highland edges. Most sites provide electricity hook-ups, hot showers and toilet blocks suitable for both campervans and motorhomes, and many include kitchen shelters — a welcome feature in changeable weather. The Camping Card scheme covers dozens of sites across Iceland, making multi-stop trips straightforward and affordable. Whether you park beside a coastal harbour or beneath a volcanic ridge, you will find well-maintained facilities throughout the country.
Iceland has no motorway toll system, so all roads are free to use. The main Ring Road (Route 1) is mostly paved and single-carriageway, with a general speed limit of 90 km/h on open roads and 50 km/h in towns. Motorhomes and campervans follow the same limits, but take extra care on gravel sections in the east and north. F-roads — highland tracks marked with an "F" prefix — are unpaved and legally restricted to 4×4 vehicles only; standard campervans and motorhomes are not permitted. Fuel stations appear every 50–100 km along Route 1, though gaps widen in the Eastfjords, so plan refuelling stops ahead.

Beyond happy with the whole experience. The motorhome was very comfy and had everything we needed for our little girls camping trip. More importantly the owners were extremely friendly and beyond helpful at all times with the vehicle, the routes, the airport pickups and dropp offs and many many more things! All and all very happy with this experience!
The experience was seemles from start to finish. Handover was very straightforward with all the major information required exchanged. Fabian the owner remained available during the trip for any issues that may arise. The vehicle was as advertised and in very good condition. Very nice camping caravan, equipped with everything that you could need. The return process was straightforward when returning vehicle. Also my car was kept securley stored at the location for arrival and drop off. Overall very good experience and i would highly recommend and use again in the future.
We really enjoyed our travels around Brittany in Clarisse's camper van. It was comfortable and easy to drive and had everything we needed for our holiday. Clarisse explained everything clearly to us before we set off.
