From sleek A-class models to versatile coachbuilts and low-profiles, there’s a motorhome for every adventure—whether you need a compact getaway for two or a spacious multi-berth for the whole family.
The campervan is the ultimate all-rounder. Effortlessly practical and built for freedom, it’s just as at home navigating tight city streets as it is exploring the heart of the countryside.
Greece's coastline stretches over 13,676 kilometres, making it the longest in the Mediterranean and one of the most rewarding countries to explore on four wheels. From the ancient ruins of Delphi perched above the Gulf of Corinth to the clifftop monasteries of Meteora near Kalabaka, every turn reveals layers of history set against dramatic landscapes. The drive from Athens to Thessaloniki covers roughly 500 km along the E75 motorway, while the coastal road from Nafplio to Monemvasia in the Peloponnese winds for about 190 km through olive groves and seaside villages. Greece offers an extraordinary mix of mountain passes, fertile plains, and island-dotted seas — though for campervan and motorhome travel, the mainland and Crete provide the most practical touring ground. Coastal roads in the Peloponnese and western Greece are well suited to campervans, with regular service stops and scenic pull-overs. Inland routes through Epirus and Thessaly climb into the Pindus Mountains, where narrower roads reward you with alpine lakes and stone-built villages like Zagorochoria. With Yescapa, you hire your campervan or motorhome directly from local owners based across Greece, giving you a wider choice of vehicles and pick-up points than traditional hire companies. Whether you want a compact van for two or a fully equipped motorhome for the family, peer-to-peer sharing means competitive prices and personal recommendations from people who know the roads best.
May and June are ideal months to hire a campervan in Greece, with warm temperatures and quieter roads before the peak summer rush. September and October bring a similar balance, plus the grape harvest season across the Peloponnese. If you visit in February, Patras hosts one of Europe's largest carnival celebrations, the Patras Carnival, with parades and festivities. Summer remains the most popular season, so booking your motorhome on Yescapa early gives you the best selection from local owners at competitive peer-to-peer prices. Campsites across Greece stay open from April through to October, with many coastal sites offering extended seasons.
To help you plan your trip, we have selected six unmissable road trips, suitable for all travelers.
This 220 km loop from Nafplio takes you past the ancient theatre of Epidaurus and the fortified town of Monemvasia. Allow 3–6 days to enjoy seaside campsites and Peloponnese coastal scenery — ideal for a compact campervan.
Follow 280 km of Crete's northern shore from Chania to Agios Nikolaos, stopping at Rethymno's Venetian harbour and the Palace of Knossos near Heraklion. Three to six days lets you explore beaches and gorges at a relaxed pace.
A 450 km circuit linking Corinth, Olympia, and Mystras over 5–8 days. Greece's southern peninsula offers well-maintained roads, plentiful campsites, and archaeological sites at every stop — great for both campervans and motorhomes.
Cover 400 km in 5–8 days from Thessaloniki through the Prespa Lakes to the stone villages of Zagorochoria. Northern Greece rewards motorhome travellers with mountain scenery, lakeside wild spots, and uncrowded roads.
This 600 km route runs from Igoumenitsa south through Preveza and Lefkada's mainland coast to Patras over 7–11 days. Expect coastal campsites, Venetian castles, and the Ambracian Gulf wetlands — a fine campervan journey.
Spanning 750 km from Thessaloniki to the southern Peloponnese over 10–15 days, this route crosses Meteora, Delphi, and ancient Sparta. A full motorhome or campervan adventure through the heart of Greece's mainland.

Greece offers a wide network of campsites spread from the Peloponnese coast to the mountains of the mainland and the shores of Crete. Many sites provide full hook-ups for motorhomes, level pitches for campervans, and modern facilities including showers, toilets, laundry, and Wi-Fi. Whether you prefer a beachfront pitch with sea views or a shaded inland spot near an archaeological site, you will find well-equipped options across the country.
Greece has a modern motorway network with tolls on major routes such as the A1 (Athens–Thessaloniki) and the A8/A7 through the Peloponnese. Tolls are paid at booths in cash or by card, and costs vary by vehicle class — motorhomes over 3.5 tonnes are charged at a higher rate. The general speed limit on motorways is 130 km/h for cars, but vehicles over 3.5 tonnes are limited to 90 km/h. Rest areas with fuel, food, and parking appear regularly on main motorways. Secondary roads in mountainous regions like Epirus can be narrow and winding, so a campervan is often more practical than a large motorhome on these stretches.
An absolute 10/10 experience from start to finish! The owners were exceptionally professional, super friendly, and made everything from initial contact to booking and collection completely seamless. Meeting their beloved camper van, 'Olaf,' was the highlight of our trip. As first-time drivers of anything larger than an SUV, we were initially nervous, but Olaf completely surprised us—being fully automatic and featuring Android Auto infotainment system, he was an absolute breeze to drive and got us to our destinations hassle-free. The camper is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for a short getaway, and honestly, you could easily stay much longer. If we ever find ourselves back in France, we would love to take Olaf out for another spin!
This was a great experience. Stefan provided well maintained motorhome and all needed accessories. He picked up at airport and we are super happy with our trip.
We absolutely loved our time in the caddy! Everything was great, from the collection, the functionality and the communication. The van is small but mighty, the owners have thought of every little detail (sink, shower, storage, kitchen, and a good sized comfy bed). We highly recommend using Yescapa and hiring this van- perfect for your dolomites adventure!
We hired the van for 8 nights and it was perfect. Went up to the mountains and down to the beach. It was very spacious and well kitted out. The owners are also lovely, accommodating and quick to reply to our message
Todo genial. La camper estaba nueva, es muy comoda y espaciosa, con todo lo necesario para pasar unos dias inolvidables. El contacto con Lidia y su pareja ha ido muy bien. Totalmente recomendable! Muchas gracias por todo!
