Perth's Elizabeth Quay Bridge, a 20-metre-high pedestrian crossing shaped like a swan in flight, has anchored the city's waterfront since 2016. Sitting on the banks of the Swan River, Western Australia's capital blends urban energy with easy access to nature. You can explore Kings Park and Botanic Garden, one of the largest inner-city parks in the world at over 400 hectares, before heading to the Art Gallery of Western Australia in the Perth Cultural Centre for a dose of local and Indigenous art. The historic port city of Fremantle lies just 19 km south-west, packed with maritime heritage and weekend markets, while the Swan Valley wine region begins only 25 km north-east — ideal for a leisurely afternoon tasting local vintages. Perth's flat coastal geography and wide, well-maintained roads make it a comfortable base for travelling in a campervan or motorhome, with plenty of space to navigate even larger vehicles. The Indian Ocean coastline stretches north and south, offering long sandy beaches and reliable parking areas close to the shore. With Yescapa, you hire directly from local owners across Perth, which means flexible pick-up points, personal tips on the best routes, and competitive pricing through our peer-to-peer platform. Whether you are planning a quick coastal escape or a longer outback adventure, Perth is a brilliant starting point.
Perth enjoys warm, dry summers from December to February, making it a popular time for beach trips and outdoor festivals like the Perth International Arts Festival, which runs from February into March. Autumn, from March to May, brings comfortable temperatures and quieter campsites — a great window for a campervan road trip along the coast. Spring, from September to November, coincides with wildflower season across Western Australia, drawing visitors from around the world. Booking your motorhome through Yescapa during shoulder months often means better availability and more competitive hire rates from local owners across Perth.

Perth and its surrounds offer a solid choice of caravan parks and holiday parks suited to both campervans and motorhomes. Most sites provide powered and unpowered pitches, modern amenity blocks with hot showers and toilets, laundry facilities, and dump points. Coastal parks south of the city give you easy beach access, while inland options closer to the airport are handy for a first or last night on the road. Book ahead during school holidays to secure your preferred pitch in Perth.
Parking a larger vehicle in central Perth requires a bit of planning. Many city car parks have height restrictions of around 2.1 metres, so check clearance before entering. Overnight parking in public streets is generally not permitted for campervans or motorhomes within the Perth CBD. For longer stays, use dedicated caravan parks or holiday parks on the outskirts. Fremantle and Scarborough offer more spacious options closer to the coast.
Esperienza positiva
Beyond happy with the whole experience. The motorhome was very comfy and had everything we needed for our little girls camping trip. More importantly the owners were extremely friendly and beyond helpful at all times with the vehicle, the routes, the airport pickups and dropp offs and many many more things! All and all very happy with this experience!
The experience was seemles from start to finish. Handover was very straightforward with all the major information required exchanged. Fabian the owner remained available during the trip for any issues that may arise. The vehicle was as advertised and in very good condition. Very nice camping caravan, equipped with everything that you could need. The return process was straightforward when returning vehicle. Also my car was kept securley stored at the location for arrival and drop off. Overall very good experience and i would highly recommend and use again in the future.
We really enjoyed our travels around Brittany in Clarisse's camper van. It was comfortable and easy to drive and had everything we needed for our holiday. Clarisse explained everything clearly to us before we set off.
