Exmouth sits at the mouth of the River Exe, where a 3.2 km sandy beach meets the western gateway of the Jurassic Coast, England's only natural UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town's seafront is backed by Orcombe Point, home to the Geoneedle sculpture that marks the start of 153 km of dramatic coastline stretching east to Studland Bay in Dorset. You can explore the 18th-century A La Ronde, a unique 16-sided house managed by the National Trust, just 3 km north of the town centre. The Exe Estuary Trail offers flat, traffic-free cycling and walking along the water's edge, while Exmouth Marina provides a lively hub for watersports and dining. Budleigh Salterton lies only 7 km to the east, and the cathedral city of Exeter is a quick 18 km drive north, making Exmouth an ideal base for day trips across East Devon. The roads around the Exe Estuary are well suited to larger vehicles, with wide routes connecting coastal villages and plenty of space to pull over and enjoy the views. Through Yescapa, you can hire a campervan or motorhome directly from local owners in the area, giving you the freedom to explore Devon's coast at your own pace while benefiting from peer-to-peer pricing and personal recommendations from people who know these roads best.
Exmouth comes alive from May to September, when the long sandy beach and Jurassic Coast walks are at their best. The Exmouth Festival, typically held in May, fills the town with live music, food stalls, and family entertainment. Summer brings ideal conditions for watersports at Exmouth Marina and along the Exe Estuary. If you prefer quieter roads and campsites, visiting in late September or October rewards you with golden autumn colours along the Exe Estuary Trail. Booking your campervan through Yescapa gives you access to competitive peer-to-peer rates, especially outside the peak summer weeks. Plan ahead for July and August to secure your ideal motorhome.

Exmouth and the surrounding East Devon countryside offer a fine selection of campsites suited to both campervans and motorhomes. Many sites sit close to the coast, giving you easy access to the Jurassic Coast and Exe Estuary. Facilities typically include electric hook-ups, modern shower blocks, waste disposal points, and level hardstanding pitches for larger vehicles. Several sites also welcome families with play areas and on-site shops.
Exmouth provides several options for parking larger vehicles. The town operates pay-and-display car parks, and some areas near the seafront accommodate motorhomes during the day. Overnight parking in public car parks is generally not permitted unless specifically signed. For longer stays, nearby campsites with dedicated motorhome areas are your best option. Always check height barriers before entering town-centre car parks, as some have restrictions below 2 metres.
First let me say that Ricardo is a great owner, he was very good at explaining everything to us, gave advice on the trip and was always available to answer any questions we had. He even was understanding of our delayed return. 5/5 The van is as described in the ad, working perfectely, comfortable to drive worh all the amenities one would need in a van. We traveled all around portugal and overall enjoyed our time bery much. Definitely recommend.
Absolutely loved staying in Alfreds campervan. The decor was beautiful. It had everything we needed, a perfect space for two people for time in nature travelling. It was so good having a fridge on the road. He answered any questions I had and the pick up/ drop off was great. Would definitely love to rent it again in the future when we come back to Spain. Thank you!
Patrick was very friendly and went above and beyond his duty to make sure everything went smoothly. He even took us to the station after we dropped the van off. We would highly recommend him.
Foi tudo ótimo! Desde a efetivação do aluguer até ao momento da devolução e ainda depois.
Communication with Guillaume the owner was excellent. Always available to answer questions and give advice about travel destinations. The campervan was a perfect size for our first experience of this type of holiday. We used sites for our 7 night travel experience which worked well with electric/topping up water etc. Overall a great experience and would use this owner again.
Everything went smooth during the whole pick up and return process. The van has seen some life but everything was clean and in great working condition + the price was very competitive when comparing to anything else available at the time. Very enjoyable trip with the van, highly recommended
