From Tenby, drive west through Manorbier to see its clifftop castle, then on to Pembroke Castle and Carew Castle with its Celtic cross. This 110 km Pembrokeshire route follows the A4139 and quiet lanes, with plenty of motorhome-friendly parking along the way.
Travel from Amroth north through Saundersfoot, Tenby, and Broad Haven to Marloes Sands, then up to the harbour village of Solva. This 200 km Pembrokeshire circuit covers the county's finest beaches, with campsites dotted along the coast for overnight stops.
A 300 km loop from Haverfordwest taking in Fishguard, Newport, St Dogmaels, Cardigan, and back via the Preseli Hills. You pass through northern Pembrokeshire's quieter villages and moorland, with campervan-sized pitches available at farms and small sites throughout.
Combine Pembrokeshire's coast with the Tywi Valley, visiting the National Botanic Garden of Wales and Carreg Cennen Castle before returning via Laugharne and Pendine Sands. Around 480 km in a motorhome, with dual carriageways easing the eastern stretches.

Pembrokeshire offers a wide variety of campsites, from clifftop pitches with sea views to sheltered inland farms near the Preseli Hills. Many sites provide electric hook-ups, hardstanding pitches, and modern shower blocks suitable for both campervans and motorhomes. You will find well-equipped sites spread right across Pembrokeshire, whether you prefer the southern resort towns or the quieter northern coastline.
Pembrokeshire has no motorways, so travel relies on A-roads such as the A40 and A477, which connect Haverfordwest, Pembroke, and Tenby. There are no toll roads anywhere in the county. Speed limits for motorhomes over 3.05 tonnes are 50 mph on single carriageways and 60 mph on dual carriageways. Many rural lanes are narrow and winding, with passing places — take care in larger vehicles. Fuel stations are spaced out in western areas, so fill up in Haverfordwest or Milford Haven before heading to St Davids or the northern coast.

Andre couldn’t have been more helpful, plus he is a positive, warm individual. The camper was superb in every way, hygienic, beautiful handling and equipped with everything needed, no silly extras for bedding. Brand new mattresses that were so comfortable and all the windows had bug netting so nothing could get in or bite us. Will definitely do this again, PLUS great value. Paloma was a pleasure to drive and really comfortable for our family of four. The van was equipped with everything we needed, beds were spacious and had safety nets, the shower and toilet were very handy, there was plenty of storage space and lots of room to move around. Susana was really helpful and accommodating and very easy to communicate with throughout our trip. The only disappointing aspect is that the fridge did not work, and the freezer only worked when plugged in. While the freezer was ok for keeping some items cool, it did make things considerably more difficult for us - we were travelling with 2 young children and cooked for ourselves most evenings. It was frustrating having to visit a shop every day/every other day and we ended up having to bin quite a lot of food. It is a shame this wasn't mentioned in the listing as it would have impacted our decision to book the van. Every other aspect was faultless and despite the issue with the fridge we had a really wonderful 2 week adventure in Paloma. We would definitely recommend if you are happy to operate without a fridge and can rely on the freezer.
