What you need to know about roads and motorways in Wirral

The Wirral is well connected by the M53 motorway, which runs the length of the peninsula from the Mersey Tunnels at Birkenhead south to the M56 junction near Ellesmere Port. There are no toll charges on the M53 itself, though the Mersey Tunnels (Queensway and Kingsway) linking the Wirral to Liverpool charge a toll — payable by card or cash. Speed limits for motorhomes over 3.05 tonnes are 60 mph on dual carriageways and 50 mph on single carriageways. Many of the Wirral's coastal lanes are narrow, so larger vehicles should plan routes carefully, especially around Parkgate and Thurstaston.

Communication with Guillaume the owner was excellent. Always available to answer questions and give advice about travel destinations. The campervan was a perfect size for our first experience of this type of holiday. We used sites for our 7 night travel experience which worked well with electric/topping up water etc. Overall a great experience and would use this owner again.
