East Riding of Yorkshire's Flamborough Head chalk cliffs stretch for over 10 kilometres along the North Sea coast, forming one of the most important seabird colonies in England with more than 200,000 nesting birds each summer. From the historic market town of Beverley, with its magnificent Beverley Minster dating back to the 8th century, to the sweeping sands of Bridlington's beaches, this region offers a rewarding mix of heritage, coastline, and open countryside. The Yorkshire Wolds, a crescent of rolling chalk hills, provide quiet lanes ideal for leisurely touring, while the Humber Bridge — spanning 2,220 metres — connects the area to North Lincolnshire. Beverley to Bridlington is roughly 45 kilometres, and from there it is about 30 kilometres south along the coast to the traditional resort of Hornsea. Spurn Point, a narrow sand spit curving into the Humber Estuary, is a must-visit for nature lovers, and the market town of Pocklington serves as a gateway to the western Wolds. The flat to gently undulating terrain across much of the East Riding makes it particularly well suited to campervan and motorhome travel, with wide rural roads and plenty of space to explore at your own pace. Through Yescapa, you can hire a campervan directly from local owners across the region, choosing from a range of vehicles to match your trip — whether you want a compact van for a coastal weekend or a larger motorhome for a full week of Wolds wandering.
May to September is the prime window for a campervan trip through the East Riding of Yorkshire, when long daylight hours and mild coastal breezes make touring the Wolds and coastline a pleasure. Bridlington's annual Seafood Festival in August celebrates the town's fishing heritage with tastings and live cookery. The Beverley Folk Festival, held each June, draws musicians and visitors from across the country. Book early for July and August through Yescapa to secure the best choice of vehicles, and consider a shoulder-season visit in May or September when campsites across the East Riding are quieter and peer-to-peer hire prices tend to be lower.
To help you plan your trip, we have selected six unmissable road trips, suitable for all travelers.
Start in Bridlington and head north to Flamborough Head, taking in the lighthouse and RSPB Bempton Cliffs reserve. Continue to Filey before looping back through the quiet villages of the northern Wolds. Around 95 km of easy coastal and rural roads, well suited to a campervan.
Follow the East Riding coastline south from Hornsea to Withernsea and on to Spurn Point, a dramatic sand spit reaching into the Humber Estuary. Explore wartime defences and wildlife reserves along roughly 80 km of flat, motorhome-friendly roads with regular campsite options.
Trace the chalk hills from Pocklington through Huggate and Thixendale, then east to Sledmere House and its grand estate. This 180 km route winds through peaceful valleys and open farmland, with campervan-sized pitches at small rural sites along the way.
Link the East Riding's finest towns — Beverley, Howden, Market Weighton, and Driffield — on a 200 km loop through the heart of the region. Visit Beverley Minster, Howden's medieval ruins, and weekly farmers' markets. Motorhome service points are available in each town.
A comprehensive 260 km circuit from Hull, heading north through Beverley and the Wolds to Bridlington, south along the Holderness coast to Spurn Point, and back via the Humber shore. Ideal for a motorhome or campervan trip covering coast, countryside, and heritage.
Begin in Goole and travel east through Howden and the western Wolds, north to Malton's edge, then down the coast from Filey to Spurn Point. At 300 km, this grand loop takes in the full breadth of the East Riding, with campsites spread conveniently along the route.

The East Riding of Yorkshire offers a good spread of campsites, from coastal parks with sea views to peaceful inland sites nestled in the Wolds. Many provide electric hook-ups, hardstanding pitches, and dedicated motorhome service points, while smaller sites along the coast cater well to campervans with compact pitches and modern shower blocks. Whether you prefer waking up to the sound of waves near Bridlington or the quiet of a Wolds valley, you will find well-equipped options across the region.
The East Riding of Yorkshire has no toll roads, so you can travel freely across the region. The A1079 links York to Beverley, while the A165 runs along the coast from Bridlington to Hull. Speed limits for motorhomes under 3,500 kg match standard car limits, but vehicles over 3,500 kg are restricted to 50 mph on single carriageways and 60 mph on dual carriageways. The Humber Bridge charges a small crossing fee for vehicles entering from the south. Lay-bys and rest stops are well spaced along main routes, and the gently rolling terrain of the Wolds means no challenging mountain passes to navigate.
The experience was seemles from start to finish. Handover was very straightforward with all the major information required exchanged. Fabian the owner remained available during the trip for any issues that may arise. The vehicle was as advertised and in very good condition. Very nice camping caravan, equipped with everything that you could need. The return process was straightforward when returning vehicle. Also my car was kept securley stored at the location for arrival and drop off. Overall very good experience and i would highly recommend and use again in the future.
We really enjoyed our travels around Brittany in Clarisse's camper van. It was comfortable and easy to drive and had everything we needed for our holiday. Clarisse explained everything clearly to us before we set off.
A really positive experience from start to finish.

The hire experience was excellent throughout. The owners were very friendly, accommodating and easy to deal with. We had such a good trip. The van is really well looked after and a pleasure to drive. The owners helped with anything we were unsure of and even gave us tips on where to eat and park up. We would definitely hire through these owners again.
