What you need to know about roads and motorways in East Riding of Yorkshire

The East Riding of Yorkshire has no toll roads, so you can travel freely across the region. The A1079 links York to Beverley, while the A165 runs along the coast from Bridlington to Hull. Speed limits for motorhomes under 3,500 kg match standard car limits, but vehicles over 3,500 kg are restricted to 50 mph on single carriageways and 60 mph on dual carriageways. The Humber Bridge charges a small crossing fee for vehicles entering from the south. Lay-bys and rest stops are well spaced along main routes, and the gently rolling terrain of the Wolds means no challenging mountain passes to navigate.

The hire experience was excellent throughout. The owners were very friendly, accommodating and easy to deal with. We had such a good trip. The van is really well looked after and a pleasure to drive. The owners helped with anything we were unsure of and even gave us tips on where to eat and park up. We would definitely hire through these owners again.
