Wind through the Blackall Range from Landsborough up to Maleny and Montville, then loop back via Mapleton and Nambour. At roughly 120 km, this route passes Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve and its rainforest boardwalk. Ideal for a compact campervan on narrow mountain roads.
Head north from Noosa into the Cooloola section of the Great Sandy National Park, then return via Gympie and the Mary Valley. This 280 km route takes in the Noosa Everglades, coloured sands at Rainbow Beach, and heritage rail towns. A motorhome with good clearance is recommended for unsealed sections.
Drive north from Maroochydore along the Bruce Highway to Hervey Bay, gateway to Fraser Island, covering about 350 km. Stop at the Ginger Factory in Yandina and the historic town of Maryborough. Campervan-friendly parks line the route, with powered sites widely available.
This 500 km circuit links the Sunshine Coast to Rainbow Beach and Tin Can Bay via inland roads, with an optional beach driving section along the Cooloola Coast. Visit Carlo Sand Blow at sunset and explore the coloured sands. A well-equipped motorhome or campervan with 4WD access is best for the beach stretch.
From the Sunshine Coast, head south through Brisbane to the Gold Coast hinterland, loop through Tamborine Mountain and Lamington National Park, then return north via Ipswich and the D'Aguilar Range. The Sunshine Coast offers a strong mix of beachfront holiday parks, hinterland retreats, and bushland campsites suited to both campervans and motorhomes. Most coastal parks provide powered sites, dump points, laundry facilities, and modern amenity blocks. Inland, you will find quieter options near national parks and rainforest, often with generous pitch sizes for larger vehicles. Booking ahead during school holidays is a good idea, but midweek availability is generally excellent across the Sunshine Coast.
The Bruce Highway (M1) runs parallel to the Sunshine Coast and connects Brisbane to the region in about an hour. It is a toll-free motorway for most of its length through this section, though you should check for any variable speed zones near interchanges. Speed limits for motorhomes under 4.5 tonnes generally match standard car limits at 110 km/h on the motorway, while vehicles over 4.5 tonnes are restricted to 100 km/h. The Sunshine Motorway branches off the M1 and provides direct access to coastal towns like Maroochydore and Noosa. Rest areas with parking suitable for larger vehicles are well signposted along the Bruce Highway.
Beyond happy with the whole experience. The motorhome was very comfy and had everything we needed for our little girls camping trip. More importantly the owners were extremely friendly and beyond helpful at all times with the vehicle, the routes, the airport pickups and dropp offs and many many more things! All and all very happy with this experience!
The experience was seemles from start to finish. Handover was very straightforward with all the major information required exchanged. Fabian the owner remained available during the trip for any issues that may arise. The vehicle was as advertised and in very good condition. Very nice camping caravan, equipped with everything that you could need. The return process was straightforward when returning vehicle. Also my car was kept securley stored at the location for arrival and drop off. Overall very good experience and i would highly recommend and use again in the future.
We really enjoyed our travels around Brittany in Clarisse's camper van. It was comfortable and easy to drive and had everything we needed for our holiday. Clarisse explained everything clearly to us before we set off.
