What you need to know about roads and motorways in Shropshire

Shropshire's road network centres on the A5, which crosses the county east to west, and the A49, running north to south through Shrewsbury and Ludlow. There are no toll roads within the county, though the M54 motorway connects Shropshire to the wider motorway network near Telford. Speed limits for motorhomes over 3.5 tonnes are 50 mph on single carriageways and 60 mph on dual carriageways.
