Drive 220 km north-east from Broome to Derby along the Great Northern Highway. Over 2–4 days, detour to the Boab Prison Tree, visit the Wharfinger House Museum and take in the dramatic 11-metre tides at Derby Wharf. Motorhome parking is available at the Derby visitor centre, making it a comfortable base.
A short 55 km trip north of Broome, Willie Creek is home to the Willie Creek Pearl Farm, where guided tours explain modern pearl cultivation. Spend 1–3 days combining the farm visit with birdwatching along the tidal creek. The access road is unsealed but manageable in most campervans during the dry season.
Just 35 km of exploring south of Broome centre takes you to Gantheaume Point, where 130-million-year-old dinosaur footprints are visible at low tide. Broome offers a fine selection of caravan parks and campsites suited to both campervans and motorhomes, most within easy reach of Cable Beach and the town centre. Expect powered and unpowered sites, dump points, laundry blocks, hot showers and camp kitchens as standard. Several parks sit right on the coast, so you can wake to ocean views. Outside Broome, wilderness-style camping on the Dampier Peninsula provides a more remote experience with basic facilities.
Broome is generally relaxed about daytime parking for larger vehicles, though overnight stays in public car parks are not permitted — you will need to use a registered campsite or caravan park. Most car parks near the beach and town centre can accommodate campervans and motorhomes, but check signage for length restrictions during peak season. Beyond happy with the whole experience. The motorhome was very comfy and had everything we needed for our little girls camping trip. More importantly the owners were extremely friendly and beyond helpful at all times with the vehicle, the routes, the airport pickups and dropp offs and many many more things! All and all very happy with this experience!
The experience was seemles from start to finish. Handover was very straightforward with all the major information required exchanged. Fabian the owner remained available during the trip for any issues that may arise. The vehicle was as advertised and in very good condition. Very nice camping caravan, equipped with everything that you could need. The return process was straightforward when returning vehicle. Also my car was kept securley stored at the location for arrival and drop off. Overall very good experience and i would highly recommend and use again in the future.
We really enjoyed our travels around Brittany in Clarisse's camper van. It was comfortable and easy to drive and had everything we needed for our holiday. Clarisse explained everything clearly to us before we set off.
