Los Angeles stretches across 1,302 square kilometres of coastal basin, making it the largest city by area in California and one of the most sprawling urban landscapes in the world. From the iconic Hollywood Sign perched on Mount Lee to the world-class collections at the Getty Center, Los Angeles rewards those who explore it at their own pace. Stroll along the Santa Monica Pier, wander through the galleries of The Broad museum downtown, or spend an afternoon among the restored aircraft at the Californian Science Center, home to the Space Shuttle Endeavour. Griffith Observatory offers free admission and panoramic views across the basin to the Pacific, while the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) houses more than 147,000 works spanning antiquity to the present day. Beyond the city limits, adventure is never far away — Palm Springs sits roughly 180 km east through the San Gorgon Pass, and the surf town of Ventura is just 100 km north-west along the Pacific Coast Highway. Wide, well-maintained freeways make Los Angeles easy to navigate in a motorhome, and many neighbourhoods offer generous parking for larger vehicles. With Yescapa, you hire your campervan directly from local owners, which means flexible pick-up points across the city and honest advice on the best routes. Whether you are chasing sunsets at El Matador Beach or ticking off taco trucks in East LA, a campervan gives you the freedom to experience this vast city on your own terms.
Los Angeles enjoys a mild, Mediterranean climate year-round, so every season has something to offer. Spring brings the LA Times Festival of Books each April on the USC campus, while autumn is ideal for quieter campsite availability and comfortable driving temperatures. Summer is the most popular season for campervan travel, so booking your hire early through Yescapa helps you secure the best choice from local owners. The Rose Parade in Pasadena each January is a spectacular reason to visit Los Angeles in winter. Whenever you choose to go, the city's coastal breezes and reliable sunshine make motorhome touring a pleasure.

The Los Angeles area offers a fine mix of beachfront, coastal-bluff, and inland campsites suited to both campervans and motorhomes. Many sites along the Pacific coast provide electric hook-ups, dump stations, hot showers, and direct beach access. If you prefer a quieter setting, state park campgrounds in the surrounding hills deliver scenic pitches with fire rings and picnic tables. Book ahead for summer weekends near Los Angeles, as coastal spots are especially popular.
Parking a larger vehicle in Los Angeles requires a little planning. Overnight parking on most residential streets is restricted between 02:00 and 06:00, and many areas enforce height limits. Look for dedicated RV-friendly car parks or Park & Ride lots on the outskirts, which often have generous clearance and flat surfaces. Always check posted signs for time limits and permit requirements before leaving your vehicle.
Everyting more than perfect, happy to welcome you again!
Amazing renters, welcome again )
We rented this camper van for a two-week trip through the Alps and southern france, it was fantastic from start to finish. The van was reliable and easy to drive, even on the steep, winding alpine mountain roads. It also performed exceptionally well on the motorways, with cruise control making the longer journeys comfortable and stress-free. The layout was perfect for two people. The rear seating folds out to a bed and pop-top roof bed provided plenty of space and privacy when sleeping. During the day, the seating area and well-equipped kitchen made the van feel comfortable and practical, while the retractable awning was great for relaxing outside on warm evenings. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. On arrival, they took the time to explain all the features of the van and made sure we were comfortable before setting off. The return process was just as easy and straightforward. Overall, this is a fantastic camper van owned by a lovely family. We had an amazing trip and would highly recommend both the van and its owners to anyone looking for a memorable campervan adventure. We would happily rent from them again in the future.
Incredibly easy- Hector was there to talk us through everything. He was happy to answer all of our questions and gave us excellent practical advice. We felt fully supported abd it gave us a real confidence boost when we took control of the camper. We had to contact Hector during out trip sbout the van and he was on hand and easy to engage with. Ditto with our drop off. We loved using the camper: it was confortable and easily accommodated our family of 5 (including two teenagers!). It was a wonderful way to explore the Basque Country and we would definitely be up for doing it again.
Tuvimos una gran semana con la furgo, yo y dos hijos adultos. El dueño Samu fue de mucha ayuda por mensajes de texto para extra preguntas mientras estuvimos fuera, y nos llevó a la estación después de devolver la furgo
We had a lovely trip. The van has absolutely everything you need, and Pedro and Davids were so helpful and kind. Would recommend this van!
