Tees Valley is home to the Transporter Bridge in Middlesbrough, one of only six operational transporter bridges left in the world, making it a landmark unlike any other in England. This region in the north-east stretches from the North York Moors National Park in the south to the Durham Heritage Coast in the north, offering a remarkable mix of industrial heritage and open countryside. The distance from Middlesbrough to Darlington is roughly 18 miles, while Hartlepool to Saltburn-by-the-Sea covers around 22 miles along the coast. You can explore RSPB Saltholme, a wetland reserve teeming with birdlife, or wander through the cobbled streets of Yarm, one of the oldest market towns in the area. The Cleveland Way National Trail skirts the southern edge of Tees Valley, giving you access to dramatic cliff-top walks ideal for a day away from the wheels. Coastal roads and moorland routes are well suited to both campervans and motorhomes, with plenty of space to pull over and take in the views. Inland, the Tees Valley links easily to the rolling farmland of County Durham and the rugged beauty of the Pennines. With Yescapa, you can hire a campervan or motorhome directly from local owners across Tees Valley, choosing from a range of vehicles that suit your group size and travel style. It is a practical, peer-to-peer way to get on the road without the fuss of traditional hire companies.
Tees Valley is enjoyable from spring right through to autumn. May and June bring long daylight hours and quieter roads, perfect for a campervan trip along the coast. The Stockton International Riverside Festival, usually held each August, fills the town with street performance and live art. September is ideal for exploring the North York Moors when the heather is in full bloom. Booking through Yescapa during shoulder months like May or October often means better availability and more competitive peer-to-peer pricing from local owners across Tees Valley. Plan ahead for summer weekends to secure your preferred motorhome.

Muchas gracias. Gary y Michelle
Lovely experience and fantastic van. Clean and worked very well. Leonardo and Eleanora were very friendly and helpful. One small feedback is the fridge did not work very well but otherwise its a great van.
Muy buena experiencia. Ana nos ha tratado muy bien.
Proprietários espetaculares e super atenciosos. Autocaravana estava impecável, super confortável, excelente condução. Painéis solares dão autonomia total. Tudo impecável.
We had an amazing trip! Rafaela and Carina were so kind, and we couldn’t recommend their van enough 🤩🙏🏼 The van had everything we needed for a proper “van life” experience, and you can also stay at campsites whenever you want!
We hired a motorhome from Cemil for a week to travel around Switzerland. We also visited France, Germany and Liechtenstein. Before the trip Cemil was helpful and responded to questions promptly. On the day of pick up he met us at the train station and the handover was smooth and quick. At the end if the trip it was also a very smooth transition and Cemil kindly drove us back to the airport. The van was great - very easy to drive and everything worked perfectly. All tolls and insurance were covered. We were very happy with the motorhome and would highly recommend renting from Cemil.
