British Columbia offers a superb network of provincial park campgrounds spread from the Pacific coast to the Rocky Mountain foothills. Many sites provide electric hook-ups, potable water, fire pits, and dump stations suitable for both campervans and motorhomes. Coastal parks tend to fill first in summer, while interior and northern sites often have more availability. Booking through the BC Parks reservation system is recommended for popular locations between June and September.
British Columbia has no toll roads on its main highway network, so you can travel freely without passes or transponders. Speed limits on major routes such as the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1) are typically 100–110 km/h for cars, but motorhomes and campervans over 5,500 kg must observe lower posted limits, often 90 km/h. Mountain passes like the Coquihalla and Rogers Pass require winter tyres or chains between October and April. Rest areas with free overnight parking are dotted along many highways, though signage varies by region. Watch for wildlife crossings, especially at dawn and dusk on interior and northern routes.

We hired this camper Asier for our family holiday through Spain and France, what a great van it is with everything you need. Asier is very friendly and helpful even though there was a language barrier. We would definitely use again if we needed to.
Mario was very helpful and supported us with this new experience. The vehicle was basically brand new and while there were some minor problems with cupboard doors, it was a very well equipped and comfortable van for 2 adults and two children of 10 and 13 years old. Highly recommended!
