Benidorm's iconic skyline of high-rise towers along the Mediterranean coast makes it one of the most recognisable resort cities in Spain, home to over 300,000 hotel beds and two sweeping sandy beaches divided by the rocky Balcón del Mediterráneo viewpoint. Playa de Levante stretches for nearly two kilometres of golden sand, while Playa de Poniente offers a quieter, equally impressive shoreline backed by a modern promenade. Beyond the beaches, the old town — known locally as El Castell — sits on a headland between the two bays, its narrow streets lined with tapas bars and the 18th-century Iglesia de San Jaime. The Terra Mítica theme park, just outside the city, brings ancient civilisations to life across five themed zones. For a change of pace, the Serra Gelada Natural Park protects dramatic coastal cliffs and offers walking trails with panoramic sea views. Alicante lies just 45 km to the south-west, and the mountain village of Guadalest is roughly 25 km inland, making both ideal day-trip destinations from your base in Benidorm. The surrounding Costa Blanca coastline is well served by wide, well-maintained roads that suit larger vehicles, and you will find plenty of dedicated motorhome service points along the route. With Yescapa, you can hire a campervan directly from a local owner, giving you the flexibility to explore Benidorm and the wider region at your own pace while keeping costs down through our peer-to-peer community.
Benidorm enjoys a warm Mediterranean climate that makes it a year-round destination. The Benidorm Fest music event in late January or February draws crowds to the city, while the Fiestas Mayores Patronales in November fill the streets with parades and fireworks. Spring and early autumn are ideal for campervan travel, with comfortable temperatures and quieter campsites. Summer is the most popular season, so booking your Yescapa hire early is a good idea to secure the best choice from local owners. Even in winter, Benidorm stays mild and welcoming — perfect for a relaxed motorhome getaway along the Costa Blanca.

Benidorm and the surrounding Costa Blanca coast offer a good selection of campsites suited to both campervans and motorhomes. Most sites sit close to the beaches and provide electric hook-ups, modern shower blocks, and dedicated pitches for larger vehicles. Many remain open all year round, so you can enjoy Benidorm's mild winters as easily as its busy summers. Facilities often include swimming pools, on-site restaurants, and Wi-Fi, making longer stays comfortable and convenient.
Benidorm has several large car parks that can accommodate campervans and motorhomes, though overnight sleeping in public parking areas is generally not permitted under local regulations. For overnight stays, you are best using a registered campsite. During the day, look for open-air car parks near the beaches where height barriers are not in place. Always check signage for vehicle height and length restrictions before entering, as some underground facilities will not suit larger vehicles.
Patricia and Jorge were great, waiting at the airport when we arived and waiting 30mins at the return when we took a wrong turn. Helpful and friendly. Signed off the return easily and quickly. The van has character and plenty of Km but it was in perfect running order. I'd have no problem hiring from them again.
Frederick was lovely and the van was super. A lot of storage for a van plus a screen that separates the toilet from the shower which is much less of a mess. Big fridge and good cooking area and sink. The water pressure is very good so when you shower you get a really good pressure, having said that prepare to top up your water tank frequently. Lovely trip and a really well equipped and user friendly van layout would rent again!
Amazing experience! Jeremie has been so kind and helpful. The van is ideal, everything you need is there. Everything was smooth and easy. We will do the same again soon!
