A 450 km journey from Ottawa to Kingston and back through the Rideau Canal corridor. Visit Smiths Falls and the charming town of Merrickville. Ontario's quieter back roads make this a relaxing motorhome trip, with waterside campsites dotted along the canal route.
This 400 km Ontario circuit links Huntsville, Dwight, and the western gate of Algonquin Provincial Park before looping through Bracebridge and Gravenhurst. Expect forest-lined roads and lakeside campsites perfect for a campervan adventure lasting five to eight days.
Stretching 700 km from Grand Bend north to Sault Ste. Marie, this Ontario route follows Lake Huron's eastern shore. Highlights include Pinery Provincial Park and the harbour town of Goderich. Motorhome-friendly rest stops and fuel stations are well spaced along Highway 21.
An epic 1,400 km drive from Sudbury to Thunder Bay along the Trans-Canada Highway. Pass Lake Superior Provincial Park, White River, and the towering Ouimet Canyon. Allow ten to fifteen days to enjoy this vast stretch of boreal wilderness in a well-equipped campervan or motorhome.

Once again, with the owner complete the vehicle condition check and sign the Rental Agreement as well as exchange your travel stories. All you have to do is imagine your next road trip!
Ontario's provincial park system offers hundreds of campsites spread from the Great Lakes shoreline to the northern boreal forest. Most sites provide electrical hook-ups, drinking water, and dump stations suitable for both campervans and motorhomes. Showers, flush toilets, and firewood are standard at larger parks, while backcountry sites offer a more rustic experience. Booking through Ontario Parks opens reservations up to five months ahead, so planning early is worthwhile for popular summer weekends.
Most of Ontario's highways are toll-free. The key exception is Highway 407 ETR north of Toronto, an electronic toll road that charges by distance — foreign-registered vehicles receive a bill by post. Speed limits on major highways such as the 400-series are generally 100 km/h for cars, though motorhomes and campervans over 4,500 kg must observe an 80 km/h limit on some stretches. Rest areas (called ONroute service centres) appear regularly along the 401 and 400, offering fuel, food, and free parking for larger vehicles. Winter tyre requirements do not apply province-wide, but carrying chains is wise if you plan to travel northern Ontario between November and April.

We rented this camper van for a two-week trip through the Alps and southern france, it was fantastic from start to finish. The van was reliable and easy to drive, even on the steep, winding alpine mountain roads. It also performed exceptionally well on the motorways, with cruise control making the longer journeys comfortable and stress-free. The layout was perfect for two people. The rear seating folds out to a bed and pop-top roof bed provided plenty of space and privacy when sleeping. During the day, the seating area and well-equipped kitchen made the van feel comfortable and practical, while the retractable awning was great for relaxing outside on warm evenings. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. On arrival, they took the time to explain all the features of the van and made sure we were comfortable before setting off. The return process was just as easy and straightforward. Overall, this is a fantastic camper van owned by a lovely family. We had an amazing trip and would highly recommend both the van and its owners to anyone looking for a memorable campervan adventure. We would happily rent from them again in the future.
Incredibly easy- Hector was there to talk us through everything. He was happy to answer all of our questions and gave us excellent practical advice. We felt fully supported abd it gave us a real confidence boost when we took control of the camper. We had to contact Hector during out trip sbout the van and he was on hand and easy to engage with. Ditto with our drop off. We loved using the camper: it was confortable and easily accommodated our family of 5 (including two teenagers!). It was a wonderful way to explore the Basque Country and we would definitely be up for doing it again.
