Denver sits exactly one mile above sea level at 1,609 metres, earning it the nickname the Mile High City — a fact marked by a brass cap on the fifteenth step of the Colorado State Capitol. From here, the Rocky Mountains rise dramatically to the west, offering a backdrop that shapes every journey you take. Explore the Denver Art Museum, home to over 70,000 works spanning global cultures, or wander through the Denver Botanic Gardens, where alpine and prairie plantings thrive in the high-altitude sunshine. The Larimer Square district, Denver's oldest commercial block, is lined with independent shops and restaurants worth an afternoon. For families, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science in City Park delivers hands-on exhibits and a planetarium. Colorado Springs lies just 110 km to the south, while Rocky Mountain National Park is roughly 110 km to the north-west — both are ideal day trips or overnight adventures. Denver's wide, grid-pattern streets and generous parking make it a comfortable base for larger vehicles, and the surrounding foothills offer scenic routes without the tight switchbacks you might expect. With Yescapa, you hire a campervan or motorhome directly from local owners who know the area, so you get insider tips alongside a vehicle that suits your plans perfectly.
Denver enjoys over 300 days of sunshine a year, making it a rewarding destination in every season. Summer brings the Denver PrideFest in June and the renowned A Taste of Colorado festival over the Labour Day weekend in September. Book your campervan early for July and August — these are the most popular months for exploring the Rockies. Autumn delivers golden aspen foliage and quieter campsites, while spring is perfect for wildlife spotting. Through Yescapa, you can often find competitive hire rates from local owners during shoulder months, giving you more flexibility and better value for your motorhome trip from Denver.

Denver's surrounding area offers a fine selection of campsites suited to both campervans and motorhomes. To the west, the foothills around Golden provide mountain-backed pitches with full hook-ups, showers, and dump stations. Denver's city streets generally allow daytime parking for larger vehicles, though metered spots downtown may have length restrictions. Several large lots around the stadium and museum districts can accommodate motorhomes and campervans during events and visits.
It was a pleasure dealimg with Alain. The Motorhome was in good condition and Alain was very helpful at pick up and drop off ensuring we knew how everything worked.
We had a great time in the motorhome. Jean Pierre was very friendly and professional. We were shown how everything works before setting off. We would definitely recommend hiring this vehicle. Jean Pierre only speaks French but with the aid of a translator app and his son it worked out absolutely fine. Thanks again Jean-Pierre.
Frederic was excellent. Easy to contact and helpful at all times. The whole experience was a joy.
Fantastic, we were welcomed and everything was fantastic.
We hired this camper Asier for our family holiday through Spain and France, what a great van it is with everything you need. Asier is very friendly and helpful even though there was a language barrier. We would definitely use again if we needed to.
Mario was very helpful and supported us with this new experience. The vehicle was basically brand new and while there were some minor problems with cupboard doors, it was a very well equipped and comfortable van for 2 adults and two children of 10 and 13 years old. Highly recommended!
