Berlin's East Side Gallery stretches 1.3 km along the longest remaining section of the Berlin Wall, featuring over 100 murals painted by artists from around the world. As Germany's capital and largest city, Berlin offers an extraordinary mix of history, culture and green spaces that make it ideal for exploring by road. You can visit the Brandenburg Gate, stroll through the Tiergarten park, or spend an afternoon at Museum Island, home to five world-renowned museums including the Pergamon Museum. The Reichstag Building, with its striking glass dome designed by Norman Foster, offers free panoramic views across the city. For a change of pace, Potsdam and its grand Sanssouci Palace sit just 35 km to the south-west, while the Spreewald biosphere reserve is roughly 120 km to the south-east, perfect for a day trip through its network of waterways. Berlin's flat terrain and well-maintained roads make it straightforward to navigate in a motorhome, and the city's ring road provides easy access to all major districts. With Yescapa, you can hire a campervan directly from a local owner, giving you the flexibility to collect your vehicle from a convenient Berlin neighbourhood and set off at your own pace. Whether you are keen on world-class museums or lakeside relaxation, a campervan trip starting from Berlin puts a remarkable variety of experiences within easy reach.
Berlin is wonderful to visit from late spring through to autumn. May and June bring long daylight hours and comfortable temperatures, ideal for exploring the city and heading out on the road. The Berlin Festival of Lights in October transforms landmarks like the Brandenburg Gate and Berlin Cathedral with spectacular illuminations. Summer is the busiest season, so booking your campervan through Yescapa early lets you benefit from the wide choice of vehicles offered by local owners, often at more competitive rates than traditional hire companies. The Karneval der Kulturen in late May fills Kreuzberg with music and parades, making it a brilliant time to be in Berlin with your motorhome parked up nearby.

Berlin and its surrounding area offer a good selection of campsites suited to both campervans and motorhomes. Most sites provide electric hook-ups, modern shower and toilet blocks, and dedicated pitches for larger vehicles. Several are located beside lakes or within wooded areas on the city's outskirts, giving you a peaceful base while remaining well connected to the centre by public transport. Whether you prefer a site right in Berlin or a quieter spot in nearby Brandenburg, you will find facilities to match your needs.
Berlin has several dedicated motorhome parking areas spread across the city. Overnight parking in a campervan or motorhome is permitted at designated Stellplätze (motorhome stopovers) but not on regular streets within residential zones. Most dedicated sites offer level hardstanding, fresh water and waste disposal. It is worth arriving before late afternoon in summer to secure a spot at the more central locations.
We have just returned from our 11 day trip in Jean’s fantastic camper van. Thanks to Jean and Emma’s good English the whole experience was very easy and relaxed. The van had everything we needed for our trip, touring parts of Germany, Austria, and France. As newcomers to camper van life we learned so much and were able to camp without the need to plug in to electric for days on end thanks to the great solar and battery system on the van and the on board water and waste tanks. Many thanks for a great holiday Jean and family! Thanks from Gareth & Samantha!
Thank you for an amazing holiday. We can't recommend this van enough. From the very first communication everything was 100%. The van was clean and had everything we needed for a three week trip. Everything was explained in detail and we were given advice and ideas for places to visit. We will be back again.
Had a wonderful trip! With Thibault’s guidance, you're in safe hands. This compact and comfortable van packs a big punch while remaining extremely easy to drive and park. I highly recommend this van and owner combo!
First let me say that Ricardo is a great owner, he was very good at explaining everything to us, gave advice on the trip and was always available to answer any questions we had. He even was understanding of our delayed return. 5/5 The van is as described in the ad, working perfectely, comfortable to drive worh all the amenities one would need in a van. We traveled all around portugal and overall enjoyed our time bery much. Definitely recommend.
Absolutely loved staying in Alfreds campervan. The decor was beautiful. It had everything we needed, a perfect space for two people for time in nature travelling. It was so good having a fridge on the road. He answered any questions I had and the pick up/ drop off was great. Would definitely love to rent it again in the future when we come back to Spain. Thank you!
Patrick was very friendly and went above and beyond his duty to make sure everything went smoothly. He even took us to the station after we dropped the van off. We would highly recommend him.
