Discover unique vehicles offered by private owners: from compact campervans for 2 people, perfect for couples, to spacious 6-berth motorhomes, ideal for families. Flexibility, competitive prices and insurance included.
From sleek A-class models to versatile coachbuilts and low-profiles, there’s a motorhome for every adventure—whether you need a compact getaway for two or a spacious multi-berth for the whole family.
The campervan is the ultimate all-rounder. Effortlessly practical and built for freedom, it’s just as at home navigating tight city streets as it is exploring the heart of the countryside.
The Península de Setúbal is home to the Serra da Arrábida, a 35-kilometre limestone mountain range that plunges directly into the Atlantic, creating some of the most sheltered beaches on Portugal's western coast. Stretching south of Lisbon across the Tagus estuary, this compact peninsula packs in remarkable variety — from the dolphin-rich waters of the Sado Estuary to the windswept cliffs of Cabo Espichel, where real dinosaur footprints are preserved in the rock. The drive from Setúbal to Sesimbra covers just 26 kilometres yet crosses dramatically different landscapes, while the 40-kilometre route from Costa de Caparica south to Cabo Espichel follows an unbroken ribbon of sandy coastline. The Península de Setúbal rewards slow travel: its Moscatel wine cellars in Azeitão, the hilltop Castelo de Palmela, and the Reserva Natural do Estuário do Sado all deserve unhurried visits. Narrow roads through the Arrábida Natural Park suit campervans particularly well, letting you pull over at viewpoints that larger coaches simply cannot reach. With Yescapa, you can hire a campervan or motorhome directly from local owners across the Península de Setúbal, choosing from a range of vehicles to match your group size and travel style. It is an ideal base for exploring at your own pace, with the freedom to wake up to ocean views one morning and vineyard scenery the next.
The Península de Setúbal enjoys a mild Atlantic climate, making it a rewarding destination from spring right through to autumn. May and June are ideal for a campervan trip — wildflowers blanket the Arrábida hills and campsites have plenty of availability. The Feira de Santiago, Setúbal's traditional fair held each July, brings live music, local food, and Moscatel tastings to the waterfront. September and October offer warm seas and quieter roads, perfect for exploring at a relaxed pace. With Yescapa, you benefit from peer-to-peer pricing on the Península de Setúbal, often more affordable than traditional hire, especially outside the peak summer weeks. Book a few weeks ahead for July and August to secure your preferred motorhome.
To help you plan your trip, we have selected six unmissable road trips, suitable for all travelers.
This 85 km loop winds through the Serra da Arrábida from Setúbal to Sesimbra, passing Praia de Galapinhos and Portinho da Arrábida. Narrow park roads suit campervans perfectly. Allow 3–5 days to enjoy the beaches and Moscatel tastings in Azeitão.
A 60 km route from Costa de Caparica to Cabo Espichel along the Península de Setúbal's western edge. Stop at Praia da Fonte da Telha and the clifftop Santuário do Cabo Espichel. Ideal for 3–6 days in a campervan, with beachside parking along the way.
Covering 150 km, this route circles the Sado Estuary from Setúbal to the Tróia Peninsula and back via Alcácer do Sal. Watch for bottlenose dolphins on the ferry crossing. A motorhome-friendly 5–8 day itinerary with flat roads and waterside campsites.
This 200 km inland loop on the Península de Setúbal visits Palmela's hilltop castle, the wine estates of Vila Nogueira de Azeitão, and the market town of Vendas Novas. Quiet roads and open countryside make it a relaxing 5–8 day motorhome journey.
A 350 km loop linking the Península de Setúbal to the Alentejo coastline. Drive from Sesimbra through Santiago do Cacém to the beaches of Porto Covo, returning via Alcácer do Sal. Allow 7–11 days; campervan-friendly campsites dot the route.
This 500 km adventure starts on the Península de Setúbal and heads south through Sines and Aljezur to Sagres on the Algarve's western tip. Expect dramatic cliffs and surf beaches. Plan 10–15 days; suits both campervans and motorhomes with well-equipped stopovers.

The Península de Setúbal offers a good spread of campsites, from coastal pitches with ocean views to sheltered spots near the Arrábida hills. Most sites provide electric hook-ups, hot showers, and dedicated motorhome service points for fresh water and waste disposal. Several campsites on the Península de Setúbal sit within walking distance of beaches, making them ideal for campervan travellers who want to combine nature with convenience.
Portugal's toll motorways connect the Península de Setúbal to Lisbon via the A2 and the Ponte 25 de Abril (A2 southbound). Tolls are electronic on many stretches, so you should register for a Via Verde transponder or purchase a prepaid toll card at a post office. The speed limit for motorhomes over 3.5 tonnes is 90 km/h on motorways and 80 km/h on national roads. Within the Arrábida Natural Park, roads are narrow and some sections restrict vehicles over 6 metres during peak months — check signage before entering. Rest areas with services are well spaced along the A2 and A33 corridors.
Everything like on description and good communication with the owner. We had a lovely time! Thank you :))

Everything went great!!! The van is amazingly equipped, Sérgio is always available and kind, great experience!!
Very enjoyable experience, the van was very comfortable, well equipped..dealing with Yescapa was seamless and the van owners very friendly and helpful, they went out of their way for us.
This was an excellent campervan for our party of 4 adults (and can easily sleep 6). Everything we used in the van was great and worked well. The large fridge/freezer and awning was helpful. Toilet and shower worked well. João was great throughout the whole process. He was really quick and helpful in all his communications before the trip, and during check-in he was really thorough with explaining all of the van's systems (even though we didn't speak Portuguese). We had a minor accident, and João was very reasonable and fair about the repairs. All together a very good experience, thank you!
We had an absolutely fabulous stay in this van, Bruno met us at the ferry port and the process was very easy and smooth! The van was perfect and had everything we needed, Bruno went above and beyond and provided bedding towels etc it was fab!
