North Brabant is home to the Efteling, one of the oldest theme parks in the world, which first opened its Fairytale Forest in 1952 and now welcomes over five million visitors each year. This southern Dutch province stretches from the Biesbosch — one of Europe's largest freshwater tidal wetlands — in the west to the Peel marshlands in the east, covering roughly 5,082 square kilometres. From Eindhoven to 's-Hertogenbosch, the provincial capital, is about 35 km, while Breda to Tilburg is around 32 km, making it easy to hop between cities on a single trip. The landscape is largely flat with sandy heathlands, pine forests, and winding rivers like the Maas and the Dommel, all perfectly suited to exploring by road. Cycling culture runs deep here, and many campervan-friendly routes follow quiet lanes past medieval abbeys such as the Abbey of Our Lady of Koningshoeven in Berkel-Enschot, where Trappist beer is still brewed on site. You can also visit the Van Gogh Village in Nuenen, where the painter lived and worked before moving to France. North Brabant's mix of nature reserves, lively city centres, and rich cultural heritage makes it a rewarding region for a motorhome adventure. With Yescapa, you hire your campervan directly from local owners across North Brabant, giving you a wide choice of vehicles and flexible pick-up points throughout the province.
North Brabant is wonderful from late spring through to autumn. Carnival, celebrated in February across cities like 's-Hertogenbosch and Breda, is one of the province's biggest cultural events and a fantastic time to experience local traditions. From May to September, campsites across North Brabant are fully open, and you can enjoy long daylight hours for cycling and walking in the Loonse en Drunense Duinen or along the Biesbosch waterways. Autumn brings warm colours to the forests around Oisterwijk and quieter roads for a relaxed campervan trip. Booking through Yescapa outside peak summer months often means more competitive hire prices from local owners, so consider a late-spring or early-autumn getaway for great value.
To help you plan your trip, we have selected six unmissable road trips, suitable for all travelers.
This 120 km loop links the Loonse en Drunense Duinen sand drifts with the Oisterwijk lakes and forests. Over 3–6 days you can explore heathlands, swim in natural pools, and stop at campervan-friendly aires along quiet provincial roads in North Brabant.

The national speed limit on motorways is 100 km/h during the day (06:00–19:00) and 120 or 130 km/h at night, though motorhomes over 3,500 kg are limited to 90 km/h on motorways and 80 km/h on other roads. Rest areas with facilities are well spaced along major routes. Roads are generally flat and well maintained, making them comfortable for larger vehicles.
Very helpful owner and great vehicle! Had a great time in the Mundaka.
It was a pleasure dealimg with Alain. The Motorhome was in good condition and Alain was very helpful at pick up and drop off ensuring we knew how everything worked.
We had a great time in the motorhome. Jean Pierre was very friendly and professional. We were shown how everything works before setting off. We would definitely recommend hiring this vehicle. Jean Pierre only speaks French but with the aid of a translator app and his son it worked out absolutely fine. Thanks again Jean-Pierre.
Frederic was excellent. Easy to contact and helpful at all times. The whole experience was a joy.
Fantastic, we were welcomed and everything was fantastic.
We hired this camper Asier for our family holiday through Spain and France, what a great van it is with everything you need. Asier is very friendly and helpful even though there was a language barrier. We would definitely use again if we needed to.
