Liguria's main motorway is the A10/A12, which runs the length of the coast through a series of tunnels and viaducts between Ventimiglia and La Spezia. Tolls apply on most stretches and you pay at automated booths by card or cash. Motorhomes over 3.5 tonnes are classed in a higher toll category, so keep your vehicle documents handy. The speed limit for vehicles over 3.5 tonnes is 100 km/h on motorways and 80 km/h on dual carriageways.
