Friesland offers a wide spread of campsites, from lakeside parks in the south to coastal spots near the Wadden Sea. Many sites provide dedicated motorhome service points with fresh water, waste disposal and electric hook-ups, while smaller campervan pitches sit alongside touring fields with shower blocks, Wi-Fi and on-site shops. Friesland's main motorway, the A7, runs east–west and connects the province to Groningen and North Holland, while the A32 links Leeuwarden to Heerenveen and the south. The national speed limit on motorways is 100 km/h during the day (06:00–19:00) and 130 km/h at night, though motorhomes over 3,500 kg are limited to 90 km/h on motorways and 80 km/h on regional roads. Friesland's secondary roads are generally flat and well-surfaced, but some rural dyke roads are narrow — take care with wider vehicles.

Absolutely loved staying in Alfreds campervan. The decor was beautiful. It had everything we needed, a perfect space for two people for time in nature travelling. It was so good having a fridge on the road. He answered any questions I had and the pick up/ drop off was great. Would definitely love to rent it again in the future when we come back to Spain. The campervan was a perfect size for our first experience of this type of holiday. We used sites for our 7 night travel experience which worked well with electric/topping up water etc. Overall a great experience and would use this owner again.
