What you need to know about roads and motorways in Flevoland

Flevoland is connected to the rest of the Netherlands by the A6 and A27 motorways, both toll-free. Dutch motorways have no tolls for standard vehicles, including motorhomes and campervans. The general speed limit on motorways is 100 km/h during the day (06:00–19:00) and 120 or 130 km/h at night, but vehicles over 3,500 kg are limited to 80 km/h on all roads outside built-up areas and 100 km/h on motorways. Flevoland's roads are flat and wide, with well-signed service areas along the A6. Keep an eye out for strong crosswinds on exposed dyke roads, especially in a high-sided motorhome.
