Find a wide selection of campervans and motorhomes for hire in Brandenburg and the surrounding area. Discover unique vehicles offered by private owners: from compact campervans for 2 people, perfect for couples, to spacious 6-berth motorhomes, ideal for families. Flexibility, competitive prices and insurance included.
The campervan is the ultimate all-rounder. Effortlessly practical and built for freedom, it’s just as at home navigating tight city streets as it is exploring the heart of the countryside.
Brandenburg surrounds Berlin yet feels like a world apart, with over 3,000 lakes — more than any other German federal state — scattered across gentle plains, ancient forests, and meandering river valleys. The Spreewald biosphere reserve, a UNESCO-listed network of waterways south-east of the capital, is ideal for slow-paced exploration by campervan, while Sanssouci Palace in Potsdam draws visitors with its 300 hectares of landscaped parkland. From Potsdam to the Uckermark district in the north is roughly 150 km, yet the landscape shifts from baroque grandeur to wide-open heathland dotted with osprey nests. Head east and you can follow the Oder River, which forms the Polish border for about 160 km, passing the old fortress town of Küstrin and the Oderbruch floodplain. Brandenburg's flat terrain and well-maintained B-roads make it particularly welcoming for motorhome travel — no mountain passes, no hairpin bends, just easy driving between lakeside stops and forest clearings. Whether you fancy paddling in the Scharmützelsee, cycling the Flaeming-Skate route, or simply parking up beside a quiet lake for the evening, the region rewards those who take their time. With Yescapa, you can hire a campervan directly from local owners based in and around Brandenburg, choosing from a range of vehicles to match your group size and travel style.
May to September is the prime window for a campervan trip through Brandenburg, when lake temperatures climb above 20 °C and outdoor festivals bring the region to life. The Potsdamer Schlössernacht in August transforms the Sanssouci palace grounds into an open-air stage with music and light installations. In June, the Spreewald celebrates its traditional Kahnkorso boat parade. Campsites across the Uckermark and lake districts are fully open from April, with pitches often quieter midweek. Booking through Yescapa outside the July–August peak can mean noticeably lower hire prices from private owners, and spring or early autumn offers mild days with fewer fellow travellers on the road.
To help you plan your trip, we have selected six unmissable road trips, suitable for all travellers.
This 200 km loop from Potsdam takes in Sanssouci Palace, the Dutch Quarter in Potsdam, and the lakeside town of Werder (Havel). Allow 3–6 days to enjoy palace gardens, local fruit wines, and well-equipped campervan pitches along the Havel River.
Covering 280 km through Brandenburg's northern Uckermark, this route links Templin, Lychen, and Prenzlau. Expect quiet forest roads, crystal-clear lakes, and small-town charm — perfect for a motorhome escape over 5–8 days with plenty of waterside stopovers.
Follow the Oder and Neisse rivers for 350 km along Brandenburg's eastern border, passing Frankfurt (Oder), Eisenhüttenstadt, and the Oderbruch floodplain. A 5–8 day journey with riverside campsites and cross-border day trips into Poland.
A gentle 180 km campervan circuit through the Spreewald biosphere reserve, stopping at Lübben, Lübbenau, and Burg. Over 3–6 days you can paddle traditional punt boats, sample Spreewald gherkins, and park up beside tranquil canals.

Brandenburg's campsites are spread across its many lake districts, river valleys, and forest reserves, offering pitches for both campervans and motorhomes of all sizes. Most sites provide electric hook-ups, fresh-water points, and waste-disposal facilities, while larger parks near Potsdam and the Spreewald often include swimming areas, bike hire, and on-site restaurants. Whether you prefer a nature-focused pitch beside a quiet Uckermark lake or a family-friendly park with playgrounds and showers, Brandenburg has you covered.
Brandenburg's motorways — the A10 ring around Berlin, the A2, A9, A13, and A24 — are toll-free for campervans and motorhomes under 7.5 tonnes, as is the case across Germany. Vehicles over 3.5 tonnes must observe a speed limit of 80 km/h on single carriageways and 100 km/h on motorways. The region's flat topography means no steep gradients or tight mountain passes, so even larger motorhomes travel comfortably. Rest areas with dedicated motorhome service points appear regularly along the A10 and A13. Keep an eye out for Umweltzone signs near Potsdam — you may need a green emissions sticker to enter certain areas.
Great experience, very good communication especially as im a novice motor homer.
We had a fantastic experience hiring this campervan! It was very clean, well maintained and exactly as pictured. Alberto, the owner, was incredibly friendly and helpful, and was always happy to answer any questions we had. The campervan was perfect for the three people travelling in our party and had everything we needed for a comfortable trip. The heating, hot water and electricity all worked perfectly, and having a cooker and fridge meant we could easily prepare meals and store food. We would highly recommend this campervan to anyone looking for a trip away, and wouldn’t hesitate to hire it again. Thank you Alberto!
Thank you, Jesús María, for one of our best travel experiences! Great communication before our arrival and warm welcome in Málaga were the perfect start to the trip. The van was fully equipped, and we had an amazing time exploring beautiful Andalusia. It was hard to say goodbye to our little home on wheels, but hopefully we’ll get the chance to take it on another adventure someday! Highly recommended! 🚐⭐️
Zeben was the most amazing and helpful host, always there if needed. The van has the perfect setup and it’s the best way to spend time on the island. Could not recommend more!
Great host,great camper
We had a great trip and a good overall experience with Marco’s campervan. Communication with the owner was very swiftly, both before and during the rental. Campervan also met our standards and was in line with description. We were on the road for 9 days. It was our first experience driving and being on the road with a campervan and we did not experience any issues at all. The van itself was in good condition, and Marco was very available for any questions. Would definitely recommend!
