Most roads in Asturias are toll-free, including the A-8 motorway that runs along the coast from Ribadeo to Santander. Speed limits for motorhomes under 3,500 kg match standard car limits: 120 km/h on motorways, 90 km/h on conventional roads, and 50 km/h in built-up areas. Vehicles over 3,500 kg must reduce those limits by 10 km/h on motorways and dual carriageways. Mountain passes such as the Puerto de Pajares (N-630) feature tight bends and gradients, so take your time and use lower gears.
