To hire and drive the motorhome on our self-drive comprehensive insurance you need to be... Aged between 23 – 79 years old. Have a full driving licence which allows you in your country of license origin, limited to UK/EU/USA/Canada/Australia and New Zealand. Most other countries are covered after referal to insurers, to drive a vehicle with a gross weight of no more than 3500kg(Normal Class B Licence).
Excludes hirers/drivers who
• have not held a full driving licence for 12 months if aged 25 or over
• have not held a full driving licence for 24 months if between 21 and 24 years of age
• are engaged in professional gambling, sport or entertainment, hawking or general dealing, street or market trading, or modelling
• have been involved in more than one motoring accident or claim in the last 3 years
• have been convicted of any motoring offence or has a prosecution pending other than parking or one speeding offence.
• suffer from any medical condition requiring notification to the DVLA and authorisation has not been granted We may consider exceptions to the above on a case by case
• Are aged under 24 years or 80+ years of age
• Are persons who have been convicted of an offence in connection with the driving of a motor vehicle or motorcycle and/ or have had their license endorsed or suspended or more than 6 penalty points imposed. Spent convictions, covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act1974 may be disregarded.
• Are persons who had their insurance declined and/or renewal refused and/or special insurance terms imposed as a result of claims experience and/or have had their insurance or cover cancelled by any Motor Insurer
• Persons engaged wholly or partly in professional entertainment or professional sports persons. Jockeys and persons connected with racing, gaming industry or press of any sort. Foreign Service Personnel other than persons holding a full UK/EU license for 2 years or more.
The Hirer/Drivers agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the Insurance which they have seen and read or have had the opportunity to see and read.
Identity and permanent address of the driver/s will have to be verified by using the following proof of ID documents/utility bills...

Vehicle collection is from 14:00 and return is 12:00. Unless agreed in advance. For collections in Oban we include on-site parking.
A security deposit of £1000 is required, made by credit card and refundable in full when motorhome is returned in condition recieved.

Excludes drivers with less than 2 years full UK or EU licence experience Notwithstanding anything contained herein to the contrary it is hereby understood and agreed the insurers shall not provide cover if an insured vehicle is being driven by or for this purpose is in the charge of any person with less than 2 years driving experience since obtaining a permanent licence in the United Kingdom or EU to drive a vehicle of the same class as the insured vehicle.
- For a 50% refund cancellation must be made seven full days prior to listing’s local check-in time (or 14:00 if not specified) on the day of check-in, otherwise no refund. For example, if check-in is on Friday, cancel by Friday of the previous week before check in time. If cancellation is less than 7 days in advance no refund will be possible.
Refund terms vary depending on the date of cancellation of the booking.

When making your way to Oban you will be pleased there is no need to haul your bedding and linen with you it's already here. It's quite a good idea to arrive on public transport if you are you may wish to consider the Great Scenic West Highland Line for Glasgow to Oban and we can pick you up at the station. The motorhome in forward motion drives just like a car albeit a little bigger and in reverse large door mirrors and reversing sensors gives you confidence to nail that tricky reversing maneuver.
