We went on a 9 day round trip adventure from Strasbourg and what a beautiful area of France to visit and such a warm welcome from all. The motorhome was perfect for our needs and with only two people, there was plenty of space. It was very clean and fully kitted out. We received clear instructions at the start of the trip as it was our first motorhome experience. It is a pretty large vehicle and with the camera system with rear view, it made the driving experience easier.Our trip started in Strasbourg, going to Riquewihr, Colmar, Eguisheim, Vosges, Nancy, Metz and back to Strasbourg. A perfect length of trip over 9 days and a variety of different places to visit.I can happily recommend hiring this motorhome from such wonderful and generous hosts!

Hugo and Pedro were super helpful, even picked us up at the airport, and throughout the trip have always been very helpful. The camper is not the newest one, but it had all we needed to have a wonderful time in Portugal.

The while process was simple in hiring "Ellie" .Dave and Julie were so helpful and we cant wait to hire again. The Camper was in excellent condition and a true joy to drive . It has everything you need to go off grid , or you can fully hook up in campsites. Highly recommend !!

Booking experience very easy - owner Nicholas on hand via text or What's-ap both during period before hire and during rental. Vehicle had some very minor issues but for a 50 year old camper-van was in very good condition and very clean inside. Everything needed for the trip was included in the van from plates and cutlery, cleaning equipment, drying cloths etc through to the important things like a corkscrew and wine glasses. Also a toilet roll which was quite important on the first day of the trip before we'd gone shopping.As noted there were a few minor issues with the van, 2nd gear coming down through the gears was quite difficult to locate and reverse gear sometimes 'popping out' but the owner Nicholas had advised us of this prior to leaving on our trip.Fuel gauge float not fully functional and would only show 1/2 full tank when fully topped up. Again advised of this before commencing trip and in one respect ensured we filled up tank 'just to be sure' more than needed.Other than that the van ran very well and coped with hills (mountains) and hair-pin winding roads very well.Of note to any future hirers please remember that due to the age of the van out does not have power steering (I now have muscles I didn't know existed) and has a top speed of about 80km / 50 mph. So plan times and distances accordingly. It is really more about taking nice relaxing journeys, taking your time and stopping off for lunches and beaches etc - than quick sprints from A to B. For this it is perfect.It also attracts a lot of attention, people waving, coming over to chat when parked and in one instance being told our van was "so cool" (from a younger person who looked more like they should be driving it that we did !!)Overall once you accept the slower lifestyle and less amenities than a modern camper van 'Lenny' is a very enjoyable, fun experience and way to travel.The owner Nicholas is very helpful and available at all times we tried to contact him regarding either pre arrival, airport drop-offs and during the trip. He also contacted us regularly to check we were enjoying our trip.Top tips for enjoying 'Lenny'1) It does not have power steering and therefore you simply cannot park in tight spaces - you need a little bit of momentum (speed) before you can turn the steering wheel so parking up close to another vehicle involves a lot of small forwards / backwards manoeuvres to get in and out. Much easier on the arms and steering to find a space that is drive in & drive out.2) It has pad brakes (not disc or power assisted) and so has a much longer stopping distance than modern vehicles - start braking a lot earlier than you would it a modern vehicle (better to brake early and slowly than hear your passenger start panicking !!)3) It is a geared vehicle / stick shift (not automatic) so unless you've driven vehicles with a gear stick it is probably not for you.4) It is old - unlike modern camper vans it does not have tv's, satellite dishes, toilets or wifi - etc........ take along some good books, board games for the evenings and enjoy sitting out with a glass of wine or a beer.5) It has a small fridge - go food shopping in small amounts more often, don't buy food for a week and then realise you can't fit it in the fridge.6) Acknowledge that everyone else will be driving faster than you - don't sweat about the car behind being on your tail. They will pass when its safe to do so and in most instances give a wave / thumbs up as they pass because the van is so old and cool.7) Any queries on the van simply text or call Nicholas who we found to be ultra helpful throughout the trip.

The van was excellent and just as described! Diana and Dario were very flexible with our arrangements and happy to answer questions we had, would recommend renting with them.

I would highly recommend renting Joaquim’s van!! The van itself is great- it’s a perfect size for 2 people, it’s fuel efficient, easy to drive and park, and has everything you need. The best part about Joaquim’s van is Joaquim! We’d never driven a caravan before and He gave us a very thorough handover and took the time to explain and run us through everything. He was always super responsive whenever we had any questions once we were on the road. He made our first Yescapa experience a great one ! Thanks again for everything 😊

Honestly couldn't have asked for a nicer guest. Bori is an absolute saint, and looked after Bongo as if she were her own. A true #vanlife life convert, we look forward to seeing her again soon :)

Olá a todos! I rented the van for twelve days and had the best time anyone could wish for! Communication was top of the notch and Claire and her husband were very nice! The van itself has a few scratches and dents but I preferred the “used” look as well as the Portuguese license plate because it did not make me stand out as a tourist (no breaking in etc.). Never had a problem with GNR or anything else as well. The van is running smoothly and has an electronic device installed for tolls on the highways which makes traveling all over the country even more enjoyable. The van is big enough to have more than enough space (even on rainy days) but small enough to drive and park it without a problem. The sitting area can be turned to a very comfortable and spacious sleeping area (I am 165cm and slept all over the mattress no matter which direction:). I would say it’s easy for two adults sleeping there and I can even imagine it with a baby or toddler. There is skylight including a ventilator installed which made sleeping at warmer nights or cooking inside the van a pleasent experience. The kitchen area has everything needed and runs with a gas stove (sorry again for melting the lid Claire!) But I guess the next renter can enjoy a new camping pot/pan/lid gear ;). The hosts provided everything basic needed (towels, bedding, kitchen utensils etc.) and I could not have been any happier. Thanks for renting it to me and if I will ever need a van again in Portugal I will definitely come back to your offer!

Idoia was an excellent renter with very good communication and very polite and courteous.  The motorhome was very well cared for and was returned on time, very clean and with the fuel full and the toilet emptied. I would recommend Idoia to anyone, Many thanks.

Parabrisas y ventanas delanteros laterales un poco sucias, arena en el garaje. Encontré huevos dentro de la nevera cuando la revisamos. Habían olvidado quitarlas y oliaba un poco mal.  Estaba comunicando con la propietaria antes de hacer la entrega. Le pedí aplazar 30min porque iba justo pero me dijo que teníamos que quedar a la hora acordada porque tenia que ir al trabajo. Me pareció bien y fuí con prisa para llegar a tiempo. Cuando llegué no estaba ella y tampoco me avisó que no iba a estar. Estaba su novio que se tomó su tiempo para atenderme. Mi experiencia en este tipo de plataformas ha sido bastante buena. Pero después de está voy a preguntar todos los detalles que me importan antes de hacer el pago. No tiene conexión de 220v. Lo único positivo fue que los propietarios me atendieron bien por whatsapp y contestaron mis preguntas bastante rápido.
