Adrià's Campervan

Citroën Spacetourer.

This camper van was registered and first used in 2019. Legally, it is just another vehicle (car), which means it can be driven and parked in any city and in most parking garages (just be mindful of the height: 1.90 m).

On the outside, it is fairly well maintained, although it shows some scratches and minor dents from regular use. It has two main notable features. First, the rear tailgate opens as a single piece, and it also has dual sliding side doors, which improve access.

Interior:

It’s worth noting that this vehicle has a very basic level of camper conversion; essentially, it consists of an accordion-style unit that serves as both storage space and a bed. The support for this folding unit is a bench of foldable seats, meaning that, without much difficulty, it can be converted back into a 5-seater vehicle (we have sometimes traveled as 4 people and later, at night, 2 sleep in the van and 2 in a tent). The cooler can be connected to the car’s 12V ports, but it does not actively cool (it maintains temperature). Inside, it shows the normal wear of a used vehicle, but it is well cared for. It includes GPS, driving aids such as cruise control and speed limiter, parking sensors and a rear camera, remote central locking key, CarPlay…

Regarding the engine, it has 150 hp (I’m not a rally driver), but I think it offers good responsiveness despite its size. It is a diesel vehicle and can enter city centers, as it has a C emissions label.

Personal opinion: I think this Spacetourer is a great option if you’re looking for a versatile vehicle that can adapt to different situations. It works very well when you plan some stops at campsites. Without access to facilities like showers or toilets, or if you don’t stop at a camping area, it is less comfortable. It works very well for us, but we also enjoy trying the local cuisine wherever we go, and during the trip, on alternate days, we look for campsites, spa hotels, hostels, or other activities that help improve comfort.
