Michael's Large campervan

The converted T5 Transporter “Blue Lagoon” is your perfect home on wheels for your Saõ Miguel Trip. It’s the long and high version of the T5 so it provides plenty of space for your surfboards or other sport equipment you may bring. Yet it’s small and especially narrow enough to fit thru the partly tight streets of Saõ Miguel. People who drove a „Bulli“ know it drives like a car!

Camping with a Campervan on Saõ Miguel is definitely the greatest way to experience the island. You can stay basically everywhere freely with your vehicle. Since there is only few Campervans on the island it’s tolerated to stay overnight at any place. Please take your trash and treat your surroundings with respect.

OVERVIEW 

You can comfortably stand inside with a ceiling height of 1,9 meters. The camper is fully insulated and covered with an appealing interior design. The camper has an extra battery for it’s consumption while standing. It’s charged thru a 120 watt solar panel and while driving. This makes sure you always have enough energy for all the electrical devices. You have lighting, 2 usb and a 12v charging port. Moreover you have a mobicool fridge for your food and drinks. I built in 3 extra windows, two of them to open, to provide extra light and fresh air ventilation in it.

DESCRIPTION 

When I converted it my priority was to have a spacious comfortable bed (160x200cm) to provide relaxing sleep. 

You have reading lamps on both sides of the bed.

Under the bed you find a lot of storage with a smart drawer system to get access to it.

Also, you have a kitchen counter, where you can prepare your meals, in the drawers underneath you’ll find all the necessary kitchen equipment. The kitchen is equipped with one big and one small portable gas stove. Therefore you can either cook inside with the open kitchen window or you cook outside on the big camping table.

Furthermore you can attache a big sunblind to the camper, so you have a big outside area. Perfect if you want to spent some time at one of the camping grounds on the island.
