About this converted van
Sanka maybe small in size, but he has a huge heart. Based just north of Edinburgh & Glasgow he is hand made from beautiful natural materials near his home near Glasgow & Edinburgh, Scotland; he will provide a hearty welcome to guests wishing to roam Scotland in a campervan.
His owners, Etelle & Billy, spent three months over the cold winter to convert him, and what a labour of love it was. Being their second conversion this time around they knew what to include whilst keeping everything compact and wild camping friendly.
Everything has been thought of to make your hire as comfortable as possible, from the spacious fixed double bed with a luxury Silent Night memory foam mattress, to the pull out kitchen and storage that doubles as a cooking worktop. Being from Scotland they made sure to install a diesel heater; with the push of a button, the camper is toasty and warm, for those chilly nights. From experiencing the wilder side of Scotland in their previous camper Etelle & Billy are confident this is the best-sized vehicle to do it in. Even though small it is a fully equipped home on wheels. It has a great hifi in the back for listening to your favourite music whilst cooking. It also has a small portable shower for some washing under the stars! Plus Etelle & Billy will be happy to provide you with all the top tips you need to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Sanka is so easy to get to. Whether travelling by train, plane or automobile, you can go direct to Glasgow or Edinburgh airport or take a train to the city centre and Sanka is just a hop away or Billy can come and pick you up from Glasgow or Edinburgh airport. Touring holidays are becoming more and more popular and Scotland is one of the most popular destinations. It's not hard to see why. The North Coast 500 route in 2018 was voted the best road trip in the world. Our camper can take you wherever you want to go whether it's the NC500, the Scottish Highlands and Islands or the fabulous cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh.

- Category B licence for 2 years or more
- Code DVLA for UK license holders.
- Must be 25 to 69 years old (a copy of your passport must be added to your profile)
- Must have held a valid category B driving licence for at least 2 years (a copy of both sides of your driving licence must be added to your profile)
- For all UK licence holders: Renters must provide Yescapa with a licence check which can be generated on the DVLA website in order to verify that your licence is acceptable under the insurance policy
- Must not have an occupation which goes against the insurance conditions.
Cancellation terms
In the event of a cancellation, the Terms of reimbursement vary depending on the confirmation date of the booking.
The booking is confirmed
If the cancellation is 30 days or more before departure, you will be reimbursed 70% of the rental cost (insurance and service fees excluded).
30 days before departure
If less than 30 days before departure, no reimbursement will be possible, the total amount of the transaction is due.

Cancellation 24 hours following the confirmation
If the booking is cancelled within 24 hours after it is confirmed, you may be entitled to a reimbursement of the insurance and service fees cost, depending on the departure date on your booking.

Cancellation insurance
Please note! This cancellation insurance only covers certain reasons for cancelling. An excess rate between €50-€120 (depending on the reason for cancelling) will be applied per claim. Your reason for cancelling must be in line with the Terms and Conditions of the cancellation policy in order to claim a reimbursement.

Our trip with this camper was amazing. It has everything you need, even a portable shower! The bedding was really comfortable and all the appliances were easy to use. We had a lot of fun travelling through Scotland last August with this beautiful yellow camper. Bonus: our host was super nice and helped us get started easily. We took his service of pick-up/drop-off at the airport which we thought was really helpful. Totally worth it!

We had an amazing experience travelling around Scotland with Sanka : discovering the wild side of the country while feeling warm and comfortable! Sanka is easy to drive and has the perfect size to go on the small one way roads. You can feel that she was converted with taste and love. Besides, Billy has been a great help, giving us good advices and taking us to the airport. We highly recommand Sanka and definitely would love to rent it again next time we come to this wonderful country!

It was our first road trip with a van and it was just perfect ! Billy did a great job customizing his van: it is really beautiful (highly complimented by all the people we met on the road ;-) ) and has all the utilities (really comfortable bed, heating, electricity... and even a sound system) that make it really comfortable for a road trip, and we did not even need to sleep in a camping in the whole week. The van is recent and really easy to drive, which is quite helpful for a roadtrip in Scotland and its single-track roads ! it does not consume a lot of gas which make it also cost-efficient.
Billy is really nice and available for any question or issue you may have, or advices about nice places to visit. We highly recommend it, and we will surely rent it again if we come back ! Thanks a lot :-)
